Celebrating America’s 250th

Harborfest 2026 will be a featured part of Black Rock’s celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, bringing our community together to celebrate the rich maritime heritage that has shaped our harbor for generations.

The celebration begins on Saturday, September 12, with a guided walking tour of historic Black Rock Harbor, highlighting the people, places, and events that have made our waterfront such an important part of our community’s story (stay tuned for registration).

Harborfest will culminate that evening with a spectacular Boat Parade at dusk, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display that will illuminate the harbor, our fleet of mariners, and, of course, the iconic Black Rock Lighthouse.

Events and activities will take place at various locations throughout the harbor, offering residents and visitors alike an unforgettable opportunity to celebrate Black Rock’s proud maritime traditions as we commemorate our nation’s 250th anniversary. Join us for this memorable week of history, community, and celebration!
